Welcome

You take me as I am
Into your new scarred hands
and when I run so far away
you always call me back again
into your open arms
not matter what ive done
amazing grace has found me here
because of what you've done, for me

Piglet.
Tuesday, October 31, 2006

Totally random.

My 24inch stuffed toy Piglet is hanging through the window grilles by it's head. Thanks to a certain mate of mine. My youngest brother says it looks like its awaiting execution.

Interesting Facts for Today.
Monday, October 30, 2006

I did a Wiki search on my name today. After I read my friend's blog which mentioned that a band called The Ataris had an album titled, "So long, astoria". It turned up quite a few interesting results. I have cities, villages and towns in the United States, a few famous places, and other facts like, Astoria is the name of Waldorf's wife from the Muppets Show. -_-|||

Thinking back, now I remember why Pastor David Stitt used to call me Waldorf whenever he saw me. He lives in the States with Aunty Dee and came to stay at my godma's for a holiday. He told me about the hotel in New York and from then on, my name was no longer Astoria. haha. Only he called me Waldorf, not Aunty Dee. I used to laugh whenever he called me that. He's like a grandad to me, I haven't seen him for two years sadly. My pap used to talk about him when I was growing up, and I think he was the one who did my dedication in church when I was a baby, however I only met him like 10-15 years later.

Now, I wonder why my FoxyTunes add-on for Firefox has a album cover picture of Green Day when Blame It On The Weatherman by B*Witched is playing....

Did I Breathe In? Or Out?
Sunday, October 29, 2006

We all had school training at Pocket Bowl on Friday. Augustine, Jeremy and Clement stood in for the missing-in-bowling girls. All had girly names after that, namely Augustina, Jeremina (he commented that it sounded so Malay-ish, and rightfully it should since he replaced my Malay team mate) and Clementina.

Coach told us to be aware of our breathing before we execute. And Jeremy remarked to me, I don't know if I breathed in or out, it feels as if I'm holding my breath or something like that. And he went, "Can choke!" Jill and I burst out laughing.

Funniest thing happened later. To Jeremy again. He striked, and came back with his hands aloft and went, "yay yay! woah" Woah meaning he almost tripped on our extra bowling balls lying on the floor while celebrating.

-_- Jeremy Leng, jokester sia...

Emo-ness and the effects.
Friday, October 27, 2006

I can see what emo-ness does for you. I just want to break out of the cycle, and not give in to my emotions. It's not kind or nice to what you're confronted with when you give in. It took a friend to make me realize that effects the people around me, and makes me look like I have a sourball in my mouth. That same friend told me not to make a certain issue become my problem. And I will not give in. (I want to put ever again, however, due to my being human, lapses will happen) I know this certain friend would read this and I want to thank you for a lot of things. For being able to sense, for allowing to say (at the risk of sounding ridiculous and feeling super embarrassed) and for sound advice you given me, even though I've known you for how long (or rather how short)? I also want to apologize for anything, predicaments I've put you in (that is if there is), etc. I'm ashamed of how I've behaved and all.

There's so much to be thankful for yet at the same time apologetic for allowing you to see the weak and vunerable side of me.

I finally broke the "curse" of not being able to achieve over 199 at Safra Tampines.

FINALLY! YES!

Back From Camp and Post Camp Jamming.
Saturday, October 21, 2006

Bowling camp was interesting thing to have. Bonding was the ain objective here, but I must say that it was only achieved partially. But I did bond with my own team mates, which to me was a rather good thing. Oh oh, by the way, Marian's nose is a PSI reader. haha. We were walking back to the main clubhouse, when she went *sniff sniff*, I think the PSI is 83. When we reached the chalet and turned on the telly, it was 63. Not that far off mate, though you might have to subtract about 20 from a reading that she gives you... =P (told you Marian! I was soooo going to post this on my blog)

That's us in the room; JianFen, me and Marian...

We left today (meaning Friday), and ended up at Safra Tamp. with Yong Shearn, Marian and Asri in the morning. Daryl joined us later along with Alvin. Had a jamming session after that at Augustine's place, and man, was it fun. I learnt that I cannot sing anything in G, for me, it's "blardy" high. haha :) and Burnout Legends is cool, I was mucking around with Gus' PSP while the rest were on the guitars.

Daryl being very happy and that's an Ovation you see, and Augustine being lazy as usual (hahha, oops) with the Epiphone.

Oh look at this photo I took, nice right?! haha.

Well, goodnight, that's it from me.

Like Urgh. Like Woah.
Monday, October 16, 2006

I look like a lad in my short hair. Urgh. Mich says my long hair was better. Dang, my idea was not to look like a lad, but seemingly, most hairdressers think this is the best way to cut it. Second time that this hairstyle emerged when I told him I wanted short, but suited to my face. And both times, at different places.

And and, guess who I saw today in the airport! David Holmes and Andrew Naylor. Ok, to those that don't listen to Hillsongs or read the album sleeves, they're one heck of a guitarist and a keyboardist. I walked past them in the transit area when I was walking to Nike and went like, "eh, they look familiar... Arghhhh, they just ministered in church yesterday!" I didn't stop them or anything, but was sorely tempted to get their autographs. No one recongnised them so it would have been kind of strange. That's the second and third celebrity I've seen in the airport, though to one, they're probably not considered celebrities since not many people know who they are, and that even rings true for people who are into Christian music. Oh well, but swell.

I need to go to Pacific Plaza on Tuesday after training to get something for someone. TRAINING TOMORROW AGAIN! yay..

Validation.
Sunday, October 15, 2006

Matthew Lim's back! hah! I haven't seen him in yonks. And he brought back the best stuff from Sdyney. KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS! yum yum. heh. Congratulations to you for passing, and I do hope you get your wings too. Its amazing how long I've known you, since Sec 1, and you're still the same lad that cares for the people around you. You're damn lucky to have Mel too! hah!

Yay, well, I'm going to get my hair cut later on in the morning. Bowling was good today, I made two measly dollars. haha, from my league team captain. And I made quite a bit of moolahs for my league team mates who kept betting on my pin 10. haha.

I'm quite happy today, because of what I heard in church. About approval and validation. I don't need the world to approve me because what God thinks of me is more important! Because approval from the world would probably cause me to compromise, and we shouldn't be. As we're the head and not the tail!

Hallelujah!

Doors and Windows.
Saturday, October 14, 2006

I was just thinking about something. Most of the time, when a door is closed upon us, we're so focused on that closed door that we don't realise that another door, window, cat flap or what have you is opened.

I think I know what to do, what friendships that need to be kept and worked on and those that I need to stop harping on that closed door. Amen.

I love. I like.
Friday, October 13, 2006

Thank God for simulation today. I like. Which gave me the chance to escape my director's talk in the morning. Apparently, its a recap of how block teaching is good. BULL. Period. We've given it a chance, but it's not working.

I love my best friends, seriously. They never fail to come through when I need them. Thank God for them, JingHui, Michelle and Xin Yi. =)
